All animations are saved as .png, source file .aseprite is included .

To import an animation import a spritesheet, and select 32x32 based on rows left to right.

This is great stuff. The less pixels used, the harder it is to make look good, but this pack pulls it off flawlessly. Unfortunately, unless it's user error on my part, the scientist (with the firearms) doesn't have all the .png files so you'll need to be an Aseprite user if you want all of the animations.

It appears that the pistol animations for the scientist aren't properly exported to png, I will try to take some time this week to fix that, apologies for the inconvenience!

No worries! I got the trial version of Aseprite and was able to get myself up to speed to get the animations. And just to be clear to anyone reading my original comment, the animations are worth it.

I have updated the scientist zip so it now includes the png format for all animations.
